Questions on the First Fieldtrip

Here are my questions (and the corresponding answers):


1. How often are the computers used during lessons?

•  the computers are used frequently during lessons, about 2-3 x a month, occasionally all rooms are even booked at once

2. In which subjects are the facilities used predominantly?

• most of the times the rooms/equipment is used by the Math department, Informatics, Languages or history classes; less frequently used by minor subjects like chemistry, biology or musical education 

3. Do students enjoy working with New Media?

• the general feeling is that students enjoy the classes and not a lot of negative feedback from students was received

4. In which way are the students protected from bad/dangerous content?

• the software "Mastereye" gives the teacher/instructor the opportunity to survey all activity that goes on on every student account in the room, dangerous websites can be optionally blocked by teacher

5. Which skills are trained most while working in the New Media classroom?

• usually tasks like web quests are done, students in lower grade are provided with  an introduction class but this does not correspond with a general software skill training which would include programs like Word, PowerPoint or Exel
